I took this opportunity to visualize a concept I've been brewing about an encounter with a lab experiment that got abandoned after something went horribly wrong.

 

I tried to capture the atmosphere of an unattended surgery room through broken tiles, rusting metal and ominous lighting, suggesting that the character has been trapped there for quite a long time.

What the bags of blue liquid are and if the dark stains across the room is the character's doing is a mystery to unfold.

​

This piece along with the supporting material took around 7 weeks to prepare.

It was a new experience for me to draw an indoor scene with overexposed lighting so I seeked help from 3d tools to build a similar room in order to get a sense of perspective and lighting.

"방치된 실험체와의 만남" 이란 컨셉으로 작업해봤습니다.

의미 불명의 손 자국, 부서진 타일, 녹슨 금속을 통해 무언가 끔찍하게 잘못되어 실험실이 버려졌고

캐릭터가 꽤 오랜 시간 그곳에서 갇혀 있었다는 것을 암시하고 싶었습니다.

곳곳에 걸려있는 파란 액체와 방에 흩뿌려진 얼룩들을 캐릭터와 강한 연관성이 있습니다.

작업 기간은 7주 정도 소요되었습니다.

실내 환경과 강한 조명을 작업해본 경험이 없어서 3D툴을 통해 비슷한 환경을 만들어 원근법과 그림자 등을 정하는 데 이용했습니다.
